RETURNS & REFUND POLICY
Effective Date: August 24, 2026
Thank you for choosing StorMor for your self-storage needs. This Return & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, payments, and other charges are handled for storage rentals and related services provided through the StorMor website.
1. Storage Rentals
Storage units rented through StorMor are generally provided as a recurring rental service rather than a traditional retail purchase. Because a storage unit is reserved for a specific customer and period of time, rental payments are subject to the terms of the applicable rental agreement.
By completing a rental through our website, you agree to the rental terms, payment obligations, cancellation requirements, and other conditions contained in your rental agreement.
2. Cancellation Before Move-In
If you cancel your reservation before moving into your storage unit, you may be eligible for a refund of amounts paid, subject to the terms of your rental agreement and any applicable administrative, reservation, or processing fees.
Refund eligibility may depend on:
- When the cancellation is requested;
- Whether you have already taken possession of the unit;
- Whether a rental agreement has been executed;
- Whether access to the unit has been provided; and
- Any fees or charges disclosed during the rental process.
To request a cancellation or refund, contact StorMor as soon as possible.
3. Cancellation After Move-In
Once you have taken possession of a storage unit or begun using the unit, cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund of rent already paid.
To terminate your rental, you must follow the move-out and notice requirements contained in your rental agreement. Any refund of prepaid rent, deposits, or other amounts will be handled in accordance with that agreement and applicable North Dakota law.
4. Monthly or Recurring Payments
If your storage rental uses recurring payments, your payment method may be automatically charged according to the payment schedule established in your rental agreement.
Cancelling a payment method or removing a payment method from your online account does not necessarily terminate your rental agreement or eliminate amounts you owe.
You remain responsible for all charges that become due under your rental agreement until the rental is properly terminated.
5. Security Deposits and Other Deposits
If StorMor collects a security deposit or other refundable deposit, the deposit will be handled according to the terms of your rental agreement and applicable law.
Any eligible refund may be reduced by lawful charges, including amounts owed for unpaid rent, damage beyond ordinary wear and tear, cleaning, removal of property, or other obligations for which you are responsible under the rental agreement.
6. Overpayments and Duplicate Charges
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, charged more than once, or made an overpayment, please contact StorMor promptly.
We will review the transaction and, where appropriate, issue a refund or account credit for amounts determined to have been charged or paid in error.
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the transaction, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider or financial institution. StorMor does not control the processing time of banks or third-party payment processors.
8. Non-Refundable Fees
Certain fees may be non-refundable when disclosed at the time of rental or otherwise permitted under the applicable rental agreement.
These may include, where applicable:
- Administrative fees;
- Reservation fees;
- Processing fees;
- Late fees;
- Returned-payment fees;
- Lock or access-related fees; and
- Other charges expressly identified as non-refundable.
9. Promotional Offers
Promotional rates, discounts, credits, coupons, and special offers may be subject to additional terms and conditions.
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable promotion, promotional discounts do not create a right to a cash refund and may not be combined with other offers.
10. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Charges
If you believe a charge was made without your authorization, contact StorMor immediately so that we can investigate the transaction.
You should also contact your bank or payment-card provider when appropriate.
11. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
To request a cancellation, refund, or review of a charge, please contact StorMor using the contact information provided on our website or in your rental agreement.
Please include, when available:
- Your name;
- Storage unit number;
- Date of the transaction;
- Amount charged;
- Reason for the refund request; and
- Any relevant supporting information.
Submitting a refund request does not automatically stop recurring charges or terminate your rental agreement unless StorMor confirms otherwise or the rental is terminated according to the applicable agreement.
12. Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit-card company, we encourage you to contact StorMor so we can attempt to resolve the issue directly.
A chargeback does not automatically cancel your storage rental or relieve you of amounts owed under your rental agreement.
13. Applicable Law
This policy is intended to be interpreted together with your storage rental agreement and applicable federal and North Dakota law. If there is a conflict between this policy and the terms of your signed rental agreement, the rental agreement will control to the extent permitted by law.
14. Changes to This Policy
StorMor may update this Return & Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
